What Causes Fault F0001?

1. Motor Issues: Short circuit in the motor winding or ground fault.
2. Cable Issues: The cable connecting the VFD to the motor is damaged or too long.
3. Mechanical Load: The motor is trying to pull a load that is too heavy (jammed conveyor, stuck pump).
4. VFD Failure: The power card or IGBT inside the VFD is damaged.

Step-by-Step Solution:

Step 1: Check the Motor & Cable

• Disconnect the motor cable from the VFD.
• Check the motor insulation resistance (Megger test).
• Check for any cuts or burns in the cable.

Step 2: Check the Load

• Rotate the motor shaft manually. Is it stuck?
• Check if the gearbox or machine is jammed.

Step 3: Check the VFD (Important)

• Run the VFD without the motor connected.
• If the F0001 fault still appears even with no motor, then your VFD Hardware (IGBT) is damaged.
